Our Story

Julie Abott and Dan Zucker's love story began way back in 2004 at summer camp. A young love never truly faded and even as the years passed and took them in different directions, they always managed to find their way back into each other lives. In 2019, it was their shared love for their nephews that brought them together again. The bond of family became the perfect reason to reconnect. But there was a catch! Dan was preparing to serve in the Navy and was quite literally on the airplane, on his way, when he asked Julie if he could write to her. And so began a beautiful exchange: every week, Dan would send Julie a letter, and she would respond in kind. Those letters became their lifeline, a steady reminder of their love, even from miles away. 


After 15 long years, they finally reunited when Dan came to visit Julie on New Year’s in New York City. It was as if no time had passed at all. But now began the true testament to their love, when Dan was relocated to Spain, 3,500 miles away. Four years later, after navigating a long-distance relationship with unwavering devotion, Dan finally came home. And to Julie’s complete surprise, proposed to her in front of his family in Florida! After a week of celebrations, the two drove back to New York City, eager to start the life they had dreamed of for so long. Then in March 2024, their love story took on a new, even more beautiful chapter, when they welcomed their baby girl, Saryn, into the world. Their hearts were fuller than ever, and their lives more complete than they ever could have imagined. 

Now as they start their newest chapter, they’re filled with excitement and gratitude. They can’t wait to celebrate their marriage surrounded by all their family and friends!
